Dr. Keith Collins
Dr. Collins is a native of Florida and a 1982 graduate of the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. From 1982-83, he pursued an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the New York State College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University. From 1984-87, he received his residency training in ophthalmology and earned his masters (MS) degree at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. In 1988, Dr. Collins received diplomate status in the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists (ACVO). In the summer of that same year, he joined the faculty at the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine as an Assistant Professor. He was promoted to Associate Professor with tenure in 1994. Also in that year, Dr. Collins received the prestigious Norden Distinguished Teacher Award. In 1996, he moved to the Milwaukee area and opened the eye clinic. Dr. Collins has been the invited speaker at numerous local, state, and national veterinary meetings in the United States and Canada. He has over 30 publications including several book chapters.
